MNArtists Field Day
Everyone who's anyone in the local art scene has at some point probably created an mnartists.org page. The Walker Art Center sponsored regional online artists' community boasts over 15,000 members and over 100,000 art images posted over the last five years. Impressive, eh? Well, today you're invited down to the Walker's Sculpture Garden for an all day art party celebrating the creative talent of YOU! This free event kicks off at 11 a.m. and includes a kid friendly dance party with artist Sarah Jacobs; a noontime picnic with Electric Arc Radio's Geoff Herbach and and Salon Saloon creator Andy Sturdevant along with readings from mnLIT authors; field day lawn games such as kickball and badminton (with awesome artist made trophies as prizes); screen printing with Calpurnia Peach; a puppet show from Open Eye Figure Theater; and to top it all off, a special "experimental" set by electro-rockers Solid Gold in the Sky Pesher at 8:30. Talk about artsy overload!

Project Runway Weekly Screenings
Join our pals at l'etoile magazine for the first in a weekly series of screenings of fashion design reality show, Project Runway! Hot on the heels of the PR premiere
bash in downtown St. Paul last week, the ladies of l'etoile, along with Metro Mag, kick off the show's ongoing season at underground downtown "hot" spot, Hell's Kitchen. Fashion trivia will rile up the crowd from 8-9pm, where you'll compete for cool prizes, including a $50 bar tab. At 9pm, settle in for a live screening of Project Runway, which features two local designers, Ra'mon-Lawrence Coleman and Christopher Straub, followed by a screening of PR spin off show, Models of the Runway. This event happens every Thursday through November 19th, so mark your calendars if you're a fashion fanatic!

Attention fashionistas, stylists, photographers, writers and local arts and culture aficionados: the second edition of monthly fashion/art/entertainment soirée from Ignite
Models pops off tonight, showcasing a brand new line-up of talented local artists and a hot Urban Street Wear theme. Styled by fashion extraordinaire (and Secrets contributor), Jahna Peloquin, Ignite models will be adorned in graffiti art-inspired designs from hip boutiques OPM, Opitz Outlet, ROBOTlove and local jewelry designer, Ferociter. And because no one knows "streetwear" better than these boys, the beloved graphic print design and apparel company, Anthem Heart, will be on deck creating live designs for the models to rock as they sashay down the runway. The beautiful people won't be the only thing to look at; art by Jacob Gossel and San Franciscan artist Marcus Lo will grace the walls, and live mural painting by graffiti artist Charlie Mossey will entertain you on the patio. Nibble on tasty bites courtesy of The Loop, view the model's books and portfolios, tour the studio space, shop for one-of-a-kind trunk show items and set up a free consultations from top Rocco Altobelli stylists.
