The Noisettes
Tonight is the night for fabulous free music! Make a cameo at the Varsity Theater this evening for a special set by London trio, The Noisettes, along with local electro-wonders Dearling Physique. The Noisettes bring a soulful sass to the stage with their truly unique, pop-fueled anthems and the mischievously sultry vocals of front woman Shingai Shoniwa. If you ask us, this show is worth it alone just to see what the amazingly stylish Shoniwa is wearing. After all, who doesn't love an afro/mohawk?
7 p.m., Varsity Theater, 1308 4th Street SE, Minneapolis, 18+, Free

Watch the work with a discerning eye and participate in an informal discussion on the way the artists chose to present themselves to the grant committees. Not only is this event appealing to filmophiles, but it could potentially be eye opening for those considering applying for an arts grant.
