SPECIAL EVENT
Salon Saloon: Fancy Feast
Andy Sturdevant's monthly hootenanny is back! Salon Saloon is a high-brow variety show for artsy types, and features special guests telling tales and leading
discussions based on a specific theme. Tonight's tantalizing topic? Food! Listen in as Heavy Table founder James Norton talks cheese, recipes, and turkey; or be entertained by artist and playwright Molly Balcom, who will delve into food as a performance medium. Nick Kosevich from the Town Talk Diner mixes up a special Salon Saloon cocktail, while chef and "Paired" founder Chris Olson lends his expertise on food and art. As always, the Salon Saloon house band, Old Man Orville, provides the tunes, and your charismatic host, Mr. Sturdevant, provides the glue (er, gravy) that makes it all stick!
7 p.m., Nomad World Pub, 501 Cedar Avenue, Minneapolis, Free

Gallery Artists: Celebrating 25 Years
When a local art gallery can claim they've been in business for 25 years, we have a serious cause to celebrate! Thomas Barry Fine Arts has been
serving Minneapolis and the art world at large from its beautiful warehouse district space for many a year. In honor of this landmark occasion, Thomas Barry will be featuring the work of its ten resident artists in a six-week long exhibit, running through June 13th. The last time such a show occurred was in 1984, when the gallery opened, and five of the ten artists exhibiting currently were featured then! See the amazing work of professional artists Thomas Allen, Don Gahr, Lynn Geesaman, Glenn Grafelman, James Kielkopf, David Lefkowitz, Cherith Lundin, Daniel Mason, Judy Onofrio, and Tiit Raid. And that's not all. Take 25% off all works in the exhibition as an appreciative gesture from the gallery.
Tues-Sat 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Thomas Barry Fine Arts, 530 N. 3rd Street, Minneapolis, Free
