MUSIC
Dreamland Faces & Larmes De Colere

Definitely one of the more quirky bands in Minneapolis, Dreamland Faces wouldn't be out of place in a John Water's movie or a creepy European carnival setting. Their dark, accordion-fueled music is a lively, old-timey romp, complete with a musical saw, tuba, and banjo to fill things in. Local duo Larmes De Colere kick things off with their oddball style of "German Polikal Kabaret Muzik." Having recently returned from an 8-year hiatus, Larmes De Colere's Andy McCormick and Tom Siler reunite for their ongoing project, "The Brecht & Eisler Songbook" which features the lyrics of Bertolt Brecht, and the music of composter Hans Eisler. DJ Otomox rounds things out with an all vinyl set.

9 p.m., Kitty Cat Klub, 315 14th Avenue SE, Dinkytown Minneapolis, Free

ART
Peep Show

Everyone's favorite seasonal sugar rush is turned into a visual treat this time around, as the Artist Mercantile hosts Peep Show. See the entries from the St. Paul Pioneer Press Marshmallow Peeps Diorama Contest up close in all their sparkly sweet glory. With such themes as "Octomom" and her brood of baby Peeps; "Project Peepway, " a spoof on the TV show Project Runway; the spooky "Grim Peeper" diorama; and "Adopt A Peep" which creates a scene from the Animal Humane Society -- just to name a few. Part silly and part adorable, this kooky creative contest is just the thing to turn your Monday frown upside down, and possibly give you a well-deserved post-Easter toothache. Runs through April 25th

10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Artists' Mercantile, 24 W. 7th Place, Downtown St. Paul, Free

ChillaPilla

Head to Eat Street this evening for a bit of maxin' and chillaxin' as DJ Focus brings his suave jams to the Caterpillar Lounge at Azia Restaurant. Dress to impress and grab a cozy corner with your pals while Focus and opener Killa-B spin (deep breath) downtempo, trip-hop, reggae, club, jazz-funk, dub-hop and trip-step. Late night happy hour rocks with specials on taps and Sake, as well as on appetizers such as cranberry cream cheese puffs, avocado rolls, pot stickers, and Azia's delicious sushi.
