Savory Sampling: Seven Steakhouse Serves Up This Month's Sample Circuit

WINE & DINE
Sample Circuit

Last time we went to a Sample Circuit event it was a bit overwhelming -- in the most delicious way possible! Imagine a room lined with stations where a dozen or more small plates and samplings of gourmet delights are being doled out with wild abandon, and you can eat as much as you'd like. Now, factor in wine tastings, specialty cocktails, pretty people, and the swanky ambiance of Downtown sushi and steakhouse, Seven. This festive foodie event, featuring a menu created by Seven's sous chef Ben Blanchette, is part social mixer and part delectable indulgence -- two of our favorite things!

5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Seven, 700 Hennepin Avenue, Downtown Minneapolis, $38 per person

MUSIC
Live Music/Dead Meat

A night of music and dancing can wear a person out. Thankfully, tonight the Turf Club keeps your protein levels up while indulging your carnivorous rocker side, as they host (vegetarians shield your eyes) Live Music/Dead Meat. Sponsored by Chef Landon Schoenfeld and Gastro Non Grata, tonight's event offers complimentary game meat and wine tasting, accompanied by the music of locals The Guystorm, Lookbook, The Softrocks, and Dante & The Lobster. Giveaways for hunting, fishing, and meat will be awarded throughout the evening. Join the party and sample the flavor of local game without having to raise your trigger finger. -Juleana Enright

9 p.m., Turf Club, 1601 University Ave, Saint Paul, $6

SPECIAL EVENT
Purim Party

We can always count on the Bedlam to host a wide range of thoughtful, cultural events that turn into all-out hootenannies. Tonight's event is a celebration of the Jewish Holiday, Purim, a festival that commemorates the prevailing of the Jewish people of the ancient Persian Empire, as recorded in the Biblical Book of Esther. Purim is a pleasantly rowdy affair that includes decadent feasting, wine drinking, costume and mask-wearing, and general public celebration. Tonight's bash at the Bedlam includes the musical stylings of Carpscale Orchestra and Asylum Sound System, plus a classic klezmer puppet show, food, and drinks.

9 p.m., Bedlam Theater, 1501 S. 6th Street, Minneapolis, $4
