'The Show So Gay' Debuts at The Suburban World Theater

SPECIAL EVENT
The Show So Gay Premiere

How a new show that involves the outrageous misadventures of two cute gays has slipped past our radar thus far is a mystery. However, now that we've been informed, we're totally on the bandwagon. Tonight head to the Suburban World Theater for the world premiere of The Show So Gay, a mock-reality television and internet program that follows the daily shenanigans of two best friends. Described as a "super gay comedy and drama," you'll join Jozsef and Lucas as they cruise for dudes, go to therapy, and giggle over "adult" merchandise. Tonight's screening will also feature a wine tasting, appetizers, special performances, a silent auction, and a live taping to be used in a future episode. Meet the cast and crew and loosen your purse strings for this community created, non-profit group, whose mission it is to entertain, educate and promote inclusiveness through informative television and internet programming on topics that affect the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Allied community.

7 p.m. to 10 p.m., Suburban World Theater, 3022 Hennepin Avenue, Uptown Minneapolis, $10

Extra: After Party at Vera's Cafe from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m., includes 2-4-1 beer, cake, and other surprises!

MUSIC
Rachel Holder & Dan Musselman CD Release

Embrace the cliché! Dust off that beret and black turtleneck and treat yourself to some hot jazz and a glass of scotch tonight at the Artists' Quarter. The perfect respite for a gloomy and wet winter's eve, tonight's tunes will definitely create a cozy atmosphere in which to tap your toes. Vocalist Rachel Holder and pianist Dan Musselman celebrate the release of their new album, Save Your Love For Me, a collection of swingin' jazz tunes that throw back to the big band era. These two young up-and-comers may be fresh out of college, but their sound is as wise as the hills. Pick up a copy of the new CD and enjoy an evening of smokin' music in the cool, cool ambiance of Downtown St. Paul's Artists' Quarter.

9 p.m., Artists' Quarter, 408 St. Peter Street, Downtown St. Paul, $5

SPECIAL EVENT
Vita.mn Hotness Party

While we usually wouldn't give such blatant props to our "frienemies" at a competing media company (think Audrina vs. LC), we can't help but give a shout out to this super cute event. The Vita.mn "Hotness" issue hits streets on Thursday, and features the Twin Cities' sexiest and coolest inhabitants. Tonight, meet the hotties, who range from musicians to artists, from entrepreneurs to advocates, and everything in between. Hosted by Vita.mn's resident sexpert, Alexis, and the ladies of Lili's Burlesque, this raucous soiree includes complimentary appetizers, free Ketel One martini samples from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., and a wild dance party courtesy of The Moongoons and Tendercakes. The perfect warm up to the most flirtatious day of the year, say we!

7:30 p.m., W Hotel, The Great Room, 821 Marquette Avenue, Minneapolis, Free
