Holiday Cynicism ala David Sedaris

THEATER
The Santaland Diaries

Theater Limina is back at the Bowl this season, bringing their hilarious adaptation of David Sedaris' Santaland Diaries to the stage once again. This "anti-Christmas Carol by a master of cynical wit" will have you laughing and probably identifying -- as Sedaris tales often have that effect. The story follows three "elves" as they suffer the pain of an entire Christmas season spent in Macy's Santaland. Kids peeing in fake snowbanks and surly Santas are the least of their problems. Backed up by the twisted Christmas tunes of The Misfit Toys, this is one holiday production you won't want to miss, especially if you're still pining for Dayton's.

9:30 p.m. (through 21st, check website for additional dates), Bryant Lake Bowl, 810 West Lake Street, Minneapolis, $15 or $13 each for groups of 10 or more.

Extra: Keep your eyes on our Defenestrator blog for a music video featuring the Misfit Toys by Secrets of the City's very own Rich Goldsmith!
