Bella Koshka Gets Intimate at The Red Stag

MUSIC
Bella Kosha

The etheral sounds of Bella Koshka have been ringing in our ears ever since our first encounter at a long-ago Gallery Grooves at the Bakken Museum. Since we last met, this troupe of musical over-achievers have gained critical acclaim and a fan-base as far as the eye can see. Tonight, Bella Koshka's haunting melodies and magical stage presence will overtake you in the warm and welcoming ambiance of the Red Stag Supper Club. Late night happy hour rocks, with cheap drink specials and marvelous sounds, for free of course. Make it a point to swoop in for a bite of perfectly prepared edibles, cordial company, and some of the best music money can't buy on a blustery winter's eve.

10 p.m., Red Stag Supper Club, 509 1st Avenue NE, Minneapolis, Free

SPECIAL EVENT
A Taste of the Season

Not sure what to sip alongside your sure-to-be-phenomenal holiday feast? Look no further. The pros over at Warehouse District fave, Sam's Wine Shop, are armed with the knowledge and the goods to make sure your celebration pops off (literally) with style. Head down to this open house tasting event where Sam and co. will treat you to a wide variety of their favorite vinos, specially chosen to make the holidays a bit brighter (or blurrier, depending on your family). Deals will be rampant throughout the store, so bring your wallet and stock up!

5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sam's Wine Shop, 218 Washington Avenue N, Minneapolis, Free

Extra: Tune into am950 radio on Saturdays at 1 p.m. for The Wine Vibe, a 1 hour call-in show dedicated to the world's most interesting beverage.

MUSIC
AMP: Art. Music. Party.

We're not sure what occasion warrants the coming-together of this killer lineup, all we know is that we like it. Join local luminaries Beatrix Jar, Solid Gold, So It Goes, MC/VL, and Dance Band as they blow up the stage at the Fine Line. A sweet excuse to get gussied up on hump day, this awesome evening of sonics and visuals will have you rockin' into the wee hours. And if you've been laid off like a healthy precentage of the rest of the U.S., the consequences of staying out late are of no concern to you. A reasonable cover seals the deal.

8 p.m., Fine Line Music Cafe, 318 1st Avenue N, Downtown Minneapolis, $5
