What Kind of Food Goes With Polka?

Share

There's no place in town where you can have more fun for less money tonight (Friday) and tomorrow than at the Northeast Accordion Festival, hosted by Kramarczuk's Restaurant and Bakery, 215 Hennepin Ave. N.E., and its neighbors the Times Bar & Cafe and Jitters Cafe & Martini Bar (in the basement of the Times). Admission is free

Kramarczuk's cafeteria offers a great selection of Old World cuisine, including Polish sausage, Ukrainian stuffed cabbage rolls, Hungarian Szededin gulasch, beet borscht and lots of other hearty fare. The music starts at 6:30 p.m. at Kramarczuk's, at 9 at Jitters, and at 9:30 at the Times Bar & Cafe (famous for its fondues.)

Dan NewtonDan Newton, a.k.a. Daddy Squeeze -  - who played at our wedding with the Cafe Accordion Orchestra - will be playing with the Daddy Squeeze Trio at 9:30 at the Times. He's amazing.

Here's the musical lineup for the evening:
